COVID cases on campus remain low. We administered 139 tests on Friday and all of the results have returned from the lab with no positive cases. We continue to have one COVID-19 case within our campus community and 13 community members in quarantine (none of whom are in on-campus quarantine spaces).
As we enter the final two weeks on campus, I want to thank everybody for your commitment to each other and the college in helping us manage COVID on campus. I am proud to be a Denisonian and to be part of this community. Thank you.
Just a few reminders:
Testing Before Break: This Friday, we will test 213 students, which will complete on-campus pre-semester break testing. Students who wish to be tested but didn’t sign up for on-campus testing may still sign up to receive an at-home Vault test. Fill out this form by tomorrow, Tuesday, November 10, to be emailed a link to order the Vault test, already paid for by Denison. Please do not place an order without using the link that will be provided to you.
Keep Up the Great Work: As a reminder, COVID-19 continues to be on the rise in Ohio and nationally. We want to ensure all students remain healthy in these final two weeks and as you return to your home communities, so please continue to wear masks, distance, and socialize responsibly following our guidelines for indoor and outdoor gatherings.
Career Exploration Programs: Please consider taking advantage of the long break between semesters to focus on career exploration and/or to engage in intellectual pursuits through our Denison Winter Accelerator.
Plans for Next Semester: If you haven’t already, please make sure you fill out the Housing Declaration Form in the MyHousing Portal to give us your current intentions for next semester. We realize you may change your mind in the future, and that’s fine, but understanding your current thinking will help us as we are developing our plans for spring.
As the semester slows, I will probably move to sending emails to the campus community one time per week. I will continue this for most of the break between semesters. I will add a second weekly email if there is important information to share.
Again, I want to acknowledge and congratulate our community for what we accomplished together this semester.
