Dear Denison Community,
I am happy to share that we have received the results from the 194 signal tests administered on Monday and we have zero positive cases. This is the final round of signal testing for the semester. We will now switch to providing end-of-semester testing for students who have requested it. This will take place tomorrow and next Friday as part of our optional departure testing protocol.
There are currently 17 community members in quarantine with none in on-campus quarantine spaces.
Semester break programming. We are taking advantage of the long break between semesters to offer students an opportunity to focus on career exploration and/or to engage in intellectual pursuits through our Denison Winter Accelerator. The Accelerator is a partnership between the Knowlton Center, the Red Frame Lab, the Launch Lab, the Lisska Center, and the Center for Global Programs. We are offering students a suite of free programming, including options like career boot camps, an opportunity for real-world consulting experience, and a large array of mini-courses on topics ranging from quantum computers to French cuisine. I encourage all students to check out the Winter Accelerator options and sign up for all of the programs that interest you.
Spring information session. On Monday we held our first information session for students and families regarding spring semester. We answered many of the questions we received from students in last week’s pulse survey. If you missed it, you can watch it here. We have more sessions planned in the weeks ahead and will share details about them in our weekly newsletters.
Again, I want to thank the community for everything you continue to do to help us manage COVID on campus. I also want to acknowledge everything we have accomplished together this semester.
