Flow-through entries, exits, hallways, and stairwells will be determined centrally by the space planning committee with input from departments. There are building and fire code considerations, and it is important that there is a consistent standard applied across campus. Uniform signage is being developed and will be installed before the start of school.
Flow-through departmental spaces will be determined by the department. Each department should be figuring out how to adjust their office space to ensure physical distancing and manage things like line queuing. Furniture should not be moved out of spaces. Rather, physical distancing should be obtained by reconfiguring furniture, pushing it against walls, or using signs or tape to indicate where people may sit or not sit. If you would like to meet with someone to discuss your office/department space, please contact Steve Gauger at GaugerS@Denison.edu or Jeremy King at KingJ@Denison.edu.
A robust suite of signs is being created and will be made available on the Guide to Fall 2020 website with instructions for printing and/or ordering. Directional and other signs are being developed including those indicating where to stand, where to drop packages, room capacity and more. You may use these signs for your office/department space.
